Ohio State Senate District 10 race

A new experience for me was covering the race for Ohio State senator for District 10. Not only did I learn about political coverage, I also got to learn about how the pieces of the government of Ohio works. Through my interviews with the two candidates, I heard unique perspectives on a variety of issues and wrote an article that fairly and truthfully reflected the values of the candidates for the people of Greene County.

Summary: Republican Kyle Koehler and Democrat Dan McGregor raced for the District 10 senator position left empty by incumbent Bob Hackett. Koehler is a life-long resident of Springfield, where he raised his children and hopes to create a future where his grandkids can raise their children. McGregor moved to Ohio in the last four years and sees unconstitutional practices that he wishes to fix for a better environment.

*Koehler won the race and will serve as District 10 state senator starting in January 2025
